Who we are
twiyo.homes is run by TWIYO (“we”). We decide how the personal information described here is used, so we are its controller. The operating company’s registered name, number and address will be published on this page before membership opens.
Questions about your information, or any of the requests below: membership@twiyo.homes.
What we collect, and why
When you apply for membership
The application form asks for your name, firm, email address, country, role (principal broker, agency or licensed agent), and your licence number and issuing authority. You may also give a phone or WhatsApp number, your city or region, a message, and whether you are applying for a founding place. We also record which language version of the page you applied from, when you applied, and a reference number.
Why: to assess your application, check your licence where your market requires one, contact you about membership, and set up your membership if you join.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in admitting only licensed, verified brokers.
Where your application goes
Your application is emailed to our membership inbox through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which sends it on our behalf. The same details are kept in our own applicant records so we can track your application. Those records hold your contact and licence details but not the words of your message: they keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, so the two copies can be matched.
When you visit the site
- Visit statistics. We count page views to understand how the site is used. This does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel Inc. (USA), processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and keeps them for a short period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Your language choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
The site’s fonts are served from twiyo.homes itself; no third party is contacted to display the page. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell your information.
The form has a hidden field and a minimum completion time to stop automated submissions. Neither collects anything extra about you.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site and our email for us, who process it on our instructions. If you become a member, other members will see the profile you agree to publish, as the membership agreement will set out. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers are outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Applications that do not lead to membership: 12 months after our decision, then deleted.
- Members: for as long as you are a member, then 6 years for legal, tax and dispute purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw any consent you have given. Write to membership@twiyo.homes; we reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top and, where the change matters, tell members directly.
